Description

The Omni La Costa Resort & Spa celebrates its 60-year anniversary with a multi-million-dollar renovation. The 400-acre Spanish Mission-style resort features over 600 spacious guest rooms and suites, two 18-hole championship golf courses, an award-winning spa, a 9,100 square foot Athletic Club, world-class dining, and eight distinct swimming pools – including a family pool with two 100-foot water slides, as well as an adult-only pool.

The North Course, formerly the Champions Course, was originally designed by Dick Wilson and opened in 1965. Over the years, it has undergone several modifications, with the most significant transformation completed in 2024. Renowned golf course architect Gil Hanse led the redesign, refining playability and strategy while enhancing the course’s natural beauty. The renovation introduced six sets of tees, repositioned greens, and a new practice facility designed by Beau Welling. Following these enhancements, the North Course has become the new home of NCAA Division I Golf Championships from 2024 to 2028, and ranked #3 in Best Renovations by Golf Digest, making it nothing short of spectacular.

The South Course, formerly Legends, is a parkland style course with mature tree surroundings and gentle doglegs. The gently undulating course places a premium of accuracy off the tee and holes 10-18 were used in PGA Tour rotation. The South Course features a hilly front 9 and a flat back 9, and with the San Marcos Creek winding throughout, it enhances both the challenge and beauty of the course.
